Scabiosa seeds come as a mixture harvested from my own Scabiosa plants. Each packet contains a mixture of Blue Cockade, Oxford Blue, Salmon Queen, Fata Morgana, Black knight, Snow maiden and Imperial Mix (mixed tones of reds and purples). approximatly 30 seeds.
Scabiosa atropurpurea is a hardy annual loved for its pincushion-style blooms and long flowering season. Store seed in a cool, dry place out of direct sunlight to maintain good germination rates. Seeds can be sown indoors 4–6 weeks before the last frost, or directly into the garden once the soil has warmed. Lightly cover the seed, keep the soil moist, and germination usually occurs within 10–21 days. Plant in full sun with well-draining soil, spacing plants around 20–30cm apart. Regular deadheading will encourage continuous flowering, making them excellent for both pollinators and cut flowers.
